Building Insurance

The Association offer all owners the option to be included in our Common Buildings Insurance policy through Zurich Municipal.

The policy covers each individual property for full reinstatement value.  The premium is currently £140 and is collected through Factors Bills.  The level of cover can be increased at a cost of £2 per additional £1000k.

Commercial premises can also be included in the policy, please contact the office for details.

At the moment there are no excesses imposed on the policy but this may change in the future in line with other insurance policies.

The policy covers the usual Buildings Insurance perils which include Fire, Storm, Vandalism, Theft and Accidental Damage. We have insured with Zurich for over 15 years and have found it to be a competitive insurance company. Claims are made by the Association on behalf of the owners and we experience very few problems.

Please note that  the Association is resposible for ensuring that all properties are adequately covered and  all owners, with their own policy, must submit a copy to the Association on an annual basis.
